Fredericton, NB, June 15, 2022 - McKenna Institute at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) today announced that it is working with IBM Canada to provide education and career readiness resources to students and community members in New Brunswick. To that end, McKenna Institute is providing enhanced access to IBM SkillsBuild, with its partners at UNB, Université de Moncton, and Tech Impact. IBM SkillsBuild is a free, digital training program that prepares users for in-demand, entry-level IT and non-IT roles in many industries.

The Government of New Brunswick today announced it is providing $490,000 over two years to TechImpact to support the development of the province’s IT workforce.

We launched a new podcast yesterday with Emma and Jharana talking about the Girls STEM UP Conference happening on March 20 and we announced our upcoming event on March 22 featuring three women who will talk about their careers in tech.
