Alain Lamarre

Dean of the Schools of Engineering, Computer Science and Transportation, CCNB

Alain obtained his bachelor’s degree in Forestry from the Edmundston campus of UMCE in 2002.

In 2002, he was hired by Shermag furniture manufacturer, in hardwood processing, and became inventory manager before becoming director of continuous improvement.

For nearly 20 years, he was a plant manager, in hardwood and cedar processing, at Irving.

During his career at Irving, he obtained his green and black belts with the Strategy Alignment Company, more particularly in the field of advanced statistics. In 2009, he took training in finance, communications and leadership at Ivey Business School, located in London, Ontario.

In 2019, he became director of the CCNB's Edmundston and Grand Falls Campus.

In 2021, he became Dean of the Schools of Engineering, Computer Science and Transportation at the CCNB.

For more than 20 years now, he has been a level 2 and level 1 snowboard instructor – evaluator in the Atlantic provinces ski parks.

Involved in his community, he has joined the organizing committee of Habitat for Humanity.
